"FIVE
WOMEN ARTISTS PLUS: women working together" is an A5, 196
page book with a laminated cover, generously illustrated with 58
colour plates of artists' works and many other photographs in
black and white.
The
founders of the group, Brenda Brin Booker and Joan Thewsey, have
written and compiled this book from the copious supply of
contributions from the 25 women artists who are members of Five
Women Artists Plus, and they have described the 20 year history of
the group.
Through
narratives this book tells of the joys and disappointments of
group life and the highs and lows of being creative, as the women
artists tell, in their own words, what they feel about the group,
the work and effort of exhibiting art, and their own lives and
work as artists.
